  • In 2016, Sine Qua Non's last fruit contract ended and they moved entirely to just using fruit from their estate. The last block of fruit they had under contract was Bien Nacido's Block B, which is the oldest vines in the steepest part of this famed vineyard, and of course, the vineyard's most coveted block.

Talented young winemaker Jeremy Weintrab has taken over this special block for his personal Site label and has made 150 cases in his inaugural 2017 vintage, a few of which we are very excited to offer to you today. Fans of the voluptuous, full-bodied and layered expressions that Sine Qua Non has produced here in the past will find more than a passing resemblance in this stunning new release from Site as well as a bottling made from the same exact fruit at a fraction of the price.

Jeb Dunnuck 96 - "Made from 100% Syrah from the Bien Nacido Vineyard and aged 18 months in 75% new oak, the 2017 Syrah Bien Nacido Vineyards has a more meaty bouquet that carries brilliant cassis and darker berry fruits, salted meats, ground pepper, violets, and lavender notes. Full-bodied, concentrated, voluptuous, and incredibly seamless on the palate, it has another level of polished elegance. It's brilliant Syrah from this talented winemaker to enjoy over the coming decade or more."
