nose - pineapple, amazingly piña colada-like mouth - slightly tropical in the mouth as well , with a rich nuttiness (hazelnut specifically if i concentrate,) and a touch of caramel on the mineral and spritely pineapple finish. there is an exotic ripeness in this wine that i would not expect at this latitude. good sap perhaps others might call this dry extract (?). lots of stuffing here.

nose- honey, honeyed apple, or baked quince. the nose is pretty mouth - potent, dense with topical notes, lots of powerful minerality, and a very citrusy mouthwatering finish. rich. maybe even richer than my preferred stye. but undoubtedly impressive

This was very pleasant - especially with a grilled monkfish. The nose was classic Genevrieres, with notes of cream laced through bits of white fruit, flowers, and then a nice streak minerality at th e edge of the bouquet. The palate was still a bit youthful and primary, with bright acidity and plump, almost ripe notes of white fruit shading into sweet lemons, and then slightly topical pineapple flavours at the fore. All of this underlined with a nicely linear spine of stony mineral. Creamily textured and full, yet nicely compact and nicely defined, with an elegant shape to it - this was very pleasant indeed. Decent finish too, with the fruit met with white flowers and another little kiss of stony minerality.

Taste: The feel is Medium bodied with crisp, medium+ acidity. There is a lot of poise and elegance to the feel along with custard, papaya, red apples, stone fruits, smoke, minerals, and spiced pears. There is a lot of youth to the feel and in the expression of the tones as they don't feel like they have fully come together just yet.
Overall: This saw a bunch of air and it still felt like it was holding back somewhat. I would love to see where this goes with even 3 years of age and can certainly benefit from more before it fully struts its stuff.

A round generous style. Not much of an acid backbone but very enjoyable. Drink now -2024.

2017 (mostly) Cote de Beaune Premier Crus vol 2 (Adam's, Logan Square, Chicago IL): Nose: There are distinct matchstick notes that are present immediately that then pull back into deep and sumptuous tones of custard, red apples, stone fruits, oils, mineral notes, spiced pears, and even a touch of papaya.
