  • Fresh nicely aged Franciacorta made from a single varietal of PN, aged in used oak for 5 months and another 8 years and 5 months on the lees. Medium golden colour. Medium+ intensity aroma of smoke, flint, apples, dried apricots, lemon zest, hint of honey and sea shells. Medium body, zesty and steely, fine mousse, high crisp acidity, touch of grapefruit bitterness, nutty finish.

  • A long search found its end in La Foresta on Monteisula ( the island in Lago Iseo), lucky me :)

    N. Full but yet very straight and elegant, very complex with multiple notes of bakery and cakes.
Mineral, fish, salt and jodium is also somewhere far in the background.

    T. Super acid balance, bitter notes again super elegant (=top balanced).

Maybe the best Franciacorta I have had in my whole life!
