The hits keep coming with Jean Chartron 17’s. Having recently tasted the classy Puligny 1ers “Clos de la Pucelle” and “En Cailleret” I didn’t find a big drop in quality to this Meursault Les Pierre’s. Seeing a consistency to the aforementioned wines in its slightly rounded style and generous use of showy oak, adding a dollop of cream and vanilla impressions. Still there’s a lively, delicious core of fruit that makes this highly drinkable and with good underlying complexity.
