Very well made 2nd wine of Chateau Leoville Barton. Very much St Julien. Two hours slow decant. Red fruit and spices. Velvety and balanced. Medium tannins. Very good to drink now

Still way too young, but pleasant to drink. Austere at first, but opens to reveal rich fruit after two hours in bottle. Nicely balanced wine. Tannins present, but countered successfully by the fruit.

Dark color of red/black fruits. Fine/medium tannins on the mid-palate. Medium- body; medium- finish. Classic St. Julien nose

A private dinner (Restaurant Troef, Amsterdam, NL): Ripe fruit, quite dry on the palate, clear stylistic expression, slightly jarring tannins and acidity.
