  • 14.5% abv. Dark garnet color, light red staining of tears. We’ll made wine that I think needs another 5+ years to mellow out - bright red fruits, high acid, green pepper, finishes long.

  • There is a nice interplay here between the blue black fruits and the bright acidity. Not much complexity. Drank well with a short decant and over two hours. I would drink up if you have them

  • This is considered the second wine for Stone the Crows, and is a single vineyard, hillside Napa cab, crafted by TRB. Overall, this is a well made, medium bodied wine that opens with beautiful nose of blueberry jam, tobacco and mint. On the palate, dark blue and black fruit with spice, cedar, mineral, and leather notes framed by bright acidity. no harsh edges, no perceivable alcohol, and well integrated tannins. At this time, the acid (which adds great freshness) and tannins slightly outshine the fruit.
I would not describe this as sweet at this stage. A very satisfying wine, I plan to pick up the 2018s which will be released next week.

I have not had the flagship Cab from the same vineyard, would love to hear from others whether it is worth the extra $25

  • Didn't have time to give this much air. Really didn't hit me in a great spot. Came across pretty sweet . . . honestly could have just been me on this night so will reserve judgment.
