  • Medium ruby (quite dark for a burg), pale garnet rim. Open, reasonably intense nose with ripe black cherry, vanilla and a hint of spice. Quite new worldy, with a whiff of nail polish about it. More ripe black cherry fruit and vanilla on the palate, actualy quite fruity with again that hint of nail polish - although it doesn't detract significantly. This has reasonably smooth, mature tannins, decent acidity and reasonable intensity on the mid-palate, although the finish falls away. Quite polished and actually pleasing enough, although ultimately lacking a little substance, complexity and typicity.
