Exactly as it should be with some richness and power and that fibrous tactile tannic mouthdrying effect of fine white burgundies from the best winemakers. A half bottle two days later has grown into classic WB territory with nutty, gentle earthiness and delightful acidity. Wonderful retronasal aromatics and faint honeycomb on the palate but with a delicacy 18.25

Medium gold in colour but not advanced. It’s Boillot, right? Rich nose with custard apples, yellow stone fruits, marzipan and spice. Similarly rich in the palate, smoke, bacon, nutmeg, figs, pastry and lime brûlée. Rich wine and needs food. I’m not as big a fan as others as it’s too “Charmes” for me but I suspect the bottles may vary quite a bit. It’s Boillot, right?

Unfortunately oxidated - gold and past it - don’t save any you have and hope you get lucky

Getting close to the edge and a bit overdeveloped as usual with Boillot.

A Burgundy Night: Blind. Mature color; honey, straw, a hint of complexity; decent complexity in the mouth as well, long and intense. Mature.
