Revisiting this wine after a few years of cellaring - same score but now able to see where this is going, and it is a wow wine, no question. Dark, dense and a real bruiser of a wine, showing depth and character unusual for Clos Vougeot but in the hands of the sisters, it is always good. There is a huge amount of material here, truly sappy and capable of aging - and yet, it was rather approachable tonight. Despite its heft, it retains precision. Fabulous wine.

Still very primary but with wonderful heft on the palate. Density of dark fruit and significant soil tones. Unlikely to be overly giving before its 35th birthday, this one will be worth the wait. 96+

Drinking surprisingly well but there should be more to come given another few years. Mostly red berries and earth on the nose. On the palate the red berries dominate aided by a nice floral component. Great structure with a long but a little drying finish.

The nose is elusive but on the palate the wine's amazing volume comes forward. So complex... There is a lot of wine here, a lot of vitality - it will be incredible with time.

Delicious! Drank side-by-side with 05' Bachelet Charmes Chambertin, which I preferred slightly to this clos vougeot, but both were exceptional wines.
