  • From Art's cellar. Wine was clear; fine sediment throughout. Decanted for about 60 minutes. Wine was dark crimson in bowl, orange-red on rim with a thin clear corona. Nose was initially bright cherries on decant. After airing in the decanter, dusty cranberries with a fennel overlay and forest floor. On the palate, layers of cedar, red fruits and licorice to a fairly long finish. Wine was quite smooth and silky. Wine would have kept for another 5 years at least. Wonderful wine! Wine cost $11.49 in 1991.
