  • This wine is completely integrated, no hard edges. Soft mouth feel of leather, earth, menthol, graphite, with blue fruits and loads of vanilla. Purple to garnet in color at the edges. Some sediment, very nice matured bouquet. 1-2yrs left in drinking window before primary flavors transition into secondary more stewed flavors. Medium finish. Drink up!

  • I apologize if these notes are sporadic in nature. I jotted down notes at 1am from doing a 2014-2018 flight of Stewart.
color - inky purple, some sediment, soft and integrated, nice bouquet of blue fruits, graphite, forest floor, and loads of vanilla. Medium finish of 10-15 seconds. Very good drinking window but I don't see it improving. 1-3yrs before primary flavors become stewed.

  • This is a solid Cab especially for the price of admission, think its a solid QPR.

Was nothing super notable, seemed a bit overripe on the initial PnP, seemed to smooth out a some as the bottle slow ox'ed, and drank over 2 hours. Not sure if decanting would have changed much, as tried giving plenty of time in wide bowl glass, but enjoyable.

This seemed to be a much better food friendly wine, as a little stronger on the mid palate.

Mostly Deep red fruits with some black as the backbone core of the flavor profile, definitely not over oaked and was just missing some of the secondary flavors on the finish, but all in all a good bottle. Maybe with a few more years in bottle?? Just not sure if it will progress more, or if this is it... but no rush to drink, no signs of age related badness on the horizon.

  • An excellent vintage from Stewart, I almost regret drinking this one because it was so delicious, I know stewart keeps a good library of older wines, I hope they have some of this because it was my last of this year. Still bright, and clear garnet thin , delightful on the nose, and full of leather and pencil. What i also like about this wine is that it is light, not at all jammy. And the finish is long and fine.

(Stewart Cabernet Sauvignon) Saturated, nearly opaque, very dark red violet color; aromatic, black currant, blackberry, spice, vanilla nose; plush, tasty, black currant, black plum, vanilla palate with sweet tannins and good balancing acidity; needs 2 years; medium-plus finish (100% Cabernet Sauvignon; 14.5% alcohol; long natural cork) 92+ points
