  • Really well structured Pinot. Still very young with maybe a decade in front of it.

  • Wine club shipped 2014-16 vertical, so I opened the 2013, along with a 2012, and used the Coravin for the 2014-2015-2016 for a 5 year taste. Very interesting. I then opened the later years over the course of the next 10 days. Favorite 2014 - first night from Coravin I thought - good potential with solid bones, but it was fabulous when I opened it a few nights later. 2012 wonderful and ready. 2013 was like it came from a different vineyard. It was still very good, but in terms of mouth feel, texture and richness, it was almost a little heavy. The 2015 and 16 were true to vineyard and Talisman and was wonderful, and will get better, so keep holding it.

  • Bountiful RR fruit and PN style that is beautifully balanced and complexly layered, yet still nuanced and elegant. Gobs of cherry, blackcurrant, blackberry, orange peel, minerality in a long, supple, juicy finish. Ripe fruit, with hints of lavendar and slight spice on the nose. In a sweet spot right now.
