Wine club shipped 2014-16 vertical, so I opened the 2013, along with a 2012, and used the Coravin for the 2014-2015-2016 for a 5 year taste. Very interesting. I then opened the later years over the course of the next 10 days. Favorite 2014 - first night from Coravin I thought - good potential with solid bones, but it was fabulous when I opened it a few nights later. 2012 wonderful and ready. 2013 was like it came from a different vineyard. It was still very good, but in terms of mouth feel, texture and richness, it was almost a little heavy. The 2015 and 16 were true to vineyard and Talisman and was wonderful, and will get better, so keep holding it.

Bountiful RR fruit and PN style that is beautifully balanced and complexly layered, yet still nuanced and elegant. Gobs of cherry, blackcurrant, blackberry, orange peel, minerality in a long, supple, juicy finish. Ripe fruit, with hints of lavendar and slight spice on the nose. In a sweet spot right now.

Really well structured Pinot. Still very young with maybe a decade in front of it.
