Golden on the pour, first strong taste of stone fruit with light acidic and citrus finished which was suprising based on the hue in glass. Good but not great.

This is a very Burgundian style wine! Beautiful medium gold color. The nose is showing signs of development and even a Chablis aging note of cheese rind, yogurt and hints of lemon/tangerine/celery. On the palate, the acid is going strong and is very lemony, along with some unripe kiwi, grapefruit notes. Nice medium+ finish. In short, if you are looking for a California style Chardonnay reset you expectations. In fact the lower ABV of 13.2% should give away that this is definitely going to be a higher acid wine. Nevertheless I’m certainly not seeing those traditional Cali notes of vanilla, pineapple, butter or oak.

Similar to 4/25/2021 TN, but fruit is slightly fading, with a bit more acidity. Fine if you like that style, but for a Cali Chard it seems to be getting a bit out of balance. Recommend you drink up!

Similar to previous TNs, but noticeably lighter bodied and diminished vanillin. Perhaps a slightly shorter finish. Some acid still there, but believe this had reached peak and may be even on a slight downward trajectory.

A lot of lemon out of the bottle mellowed after a couple hours to land at a more balanced, lower acidity.
