  • Opened for our 30th. Cork was pretty soft. Raspberry cherry musty wood nose. Medium intensity with caramel age showing around the edges. Earthy soy soapy nose. Slight vinegar it is 30 years old but not enough to take away an amazing cellar span. Still nice acid feel in the mouth. A little forest floor yet the fruit pops out over it. Raspberry on the tongue. The tanins stay along for the ride too. Great with a steak dinner. Even better with dark chocolate. Wow, Stacy.

  • Similar notes as before but the wine was more rounded and complex as I had more opportunity to linger over it. They just don't make wine like this any more in CA.

  • Brick red color. Nose of dark fruits, leather, earth. Medium body. Dusty palate of blackberries, some cassis, leather, earth. Some acidity. Resolved tannins. Finish on the short side. Past it's prime but still enjoyable. Paired with a rib eye. In a blind tasting would have guessed an older Bordeaux.
