  A lot of wonderful flavors and aromas, fruit and flower; and the appearance of the wine in the glass is quite nice (beaded with small bubbles).

  Golden color, subtle notes of hay, camomile, and baked apple (sans canelle!) on both the nose and the palate. Bubbles on the sides of the glass, but no real spritz en bouche. Good!

  Much better showing than the bottle consumed back in August. The first bottle seemed slightly oxidized, this poured a clear, medium lemon color with a slight spritz common in many Portuguese white wines. Aromas and flavors of ripe yellow apple, sweet tropical fruits, and honey with a mineral streak on the back end. Lacks enough acidity to offset the sweet fruits. Somewhat simple in style, pass in the future for this producer.

  Second vintage of this, and probably my last, as this particular offering has been disappointing overall. This was opened and poured into a chilling decanter. Medium gold color, much darker than the bottles from the 2017 vintage, and lots of spritz. Although the cork was not as tight as earlier vintages, I suspect there might have been some oxygen intrusion, thus causing the deeper color. The wine neither smelled nor tasted bad, just unbalanced with residual sugar, low acidity, and very ripe tropical fruits, and honey. Lacks freshness and finishes flat. Although drinkable, I’m assuming this is just a bad bottle. Will not purchase again in the future.
