It started off rusty nails and actively fighting on the palate. Blind, I'd call it a hard GC 1er like Lavaux. Arguing with it over a few hours, it unwound and skipped down the lane to become really CM - yes, still rust and structure but lovely violets edging up to camphor and classic cologne notes like old Stetson (chypre.) The structure needs to resolve around this core, but I am digging this so hard. Burgundy always has surprises.

Strawberry and camphor on the nose. On the palate, raspberry, cherry, and notes of earthy spice and something mineral, with fine tannins and strong acidity on the medium to long finish. This was an average value at about $100.

This was very tight and closed when first opened, but after a couple of hours it started to reveal its bright, lifted, crunchy cherry notes. Fine-grained structure and a solid beam of stoney minerality. Focused, precise and long. Wonderful Chambolle Musigny.

Still green, but very much looking forward to where this goes in 2 years. Tiny dark berries with incredibly balanced tannins for such a young wine. 91+

I am not competent enough to score this.
