Served blind. Dry Port! Plums, figs, herbaceoues notes, sweet spice, slight volatility, loads of alcohol...which creates the illusion of juiciness on the palate because it's making my mouth water so much. Sour plums and raisins, prunes, drying chalky tannins. Young but old. Super extracted. I guessed Old School Barossa Shiraz with at 20 years under the belt (and about 16.5% alcohol)

UFO Wine, with 17,5 % alcohol, and maybe a little residual sugar, from Iconic Winemaker of OZ, this very little bottling, about 800 bottles, of Old Carignane from Murray River Area, Angoves vineyards it seems. Is a master piece of intriguing winemaking, hyper ripe, so with age it goes into slight ox, nut, black chocolate, raisins, sultanas, chocolate cake... intense nose, palate is smooth as F... delicate acidity, like a port without the sugar, it is a surprise to me, as it came after a Pinot tasting and showed all we needed to end up the tasting lunch... very long, no tannins, just super drinkable, juicy and powerful nose... hats off
