  I don’t like that you can smell the alcohol here. Roasted berries and black cherry fruit, with a white pepper and wave of heat on the nose. White pepper, baked figs, black plum skin, coriander and tons of spice on the palate. Really good depth of flavor and texture, but just feels like a Zin with that acohol, doesn’t taste like Beaujolais, or gamay in general. Too much for me, no finesse. Must have lost some brightness it needed from two years ago. Maybe in due time, this thing is packed.
