  • A nice wine but no blockbuster; a bit monochromatic. I would say it has another five years in it, contrary to what the pundits are saying. perhaps a little more character would develop with more time...

NOSE: noticeable sickly-sweet / overripe aspect; high-toned; rubber; hint of smoke; smells like this is going to be a mess on the palate.

BODY: lots of fine particulate matter present; dark garnet-violet color of medium-deep depth, with bricking at the edges; medium-light to medium bodied.

TASTE: prunes; light dried herbs note on the finish (garrigue); good acidity; tastes better than I was expecting; almost no tannin remaining; 13.5% alc. not noticeable; finish is long and of medium intensity; solid, but not excellent; probably best to drink now.

  • Nose of farmyard, tobacco, animal, elegant, white peper... light taste, lacking a bit of fruit, drying tannins

  • Too light and lacks concentration or grace. What happened? disappointing. Drink now. 85.

  • Ruby with a garnet rim. Evolved with mostly red fruit, liquorice, hints od vegetality and some oak mostly old. Elegant and well structured with vivid acidity and firm, slightly unripe tannins that balance elegant body and moderate alcohol. Relative long mid-palate with lingering finish. Overall a very well made wine from ripe fruit, refreshing and well-delineated. At its peak now, will keep for possibly 5 years more.
