Screw top. Served immediately. Surprisingly fresh aromas of dark fruits, lavender and meat. Secondary characteristics of leather and mushrooms are showing through, too. The 15.2% ABV is a bit noticeable but not really distracting. Visually, it's got some very fine sediment but other than that, there is very little sign of age. Still an abundance of fruit on the palate: blackberry liqueur, herbs and leather. Full bodied. Finish is long but just a touch hot. This has held up surprisingly well but I reckon it's best to drink these now.

Excellent fruit attack backed up by medium plus acidity. I didn't notice the oak, tannins are medium and there is a touch of alc. Heat. This drinks much younger than 11 yrs. not much tertiary development yet so I would like to taste more complexity, but no complaints when the fruit is still so alive with over 10 yrs of age. This should keep another 5 yrs but is probably peaking now.

Great paired with marinated steak (w/ ginger in the marinade), baked sweet potato fries and a garden salad. Plum, red current, well balanced wine that is wearing its age well. Drink now with food.
