Very similar to the bottle tasted in May 2020. Huge minerally drive, energy and freshness, spicy richness but dusty and dry, white nut evolution. Angular and austere, pure and powerful but not elegant.

Lean and crisp style even after 16 years, firm acidity, ripe citrus, nutty evolution, hints of wax and honey and a touch of Pinot spice, good length. It is just a little bit too austere for comfort, but the linearity and drive are impressive. Seems to hold the middle ground between the bottles tasted in March 2019 and June 2019.

Quite different from the previous bottle, even if the score is the same. Much more communicative, citrus and spices, nutty evolution, slender but silky and creamy, fresh but fully mature, gentle bitters, good length. The Pinot Noir fruit is fluffy and rich, but not as elegant as from the Montagne de Reims. Good wine, mouthfilling and satisfying.

Impressive intensity and freshness, tightly wound, bursting with mineral energy, youthful and crisp, but very uncommunicative. Completely closed down, revisit in five years? Cautious score, everything depends on its future development. Note: this is not a D de Devaux Millésimé - they did not make one in 2004.
