Pop and pour. It was great. A bright sting of acid on the tip of the tongue, pronounced fruit and spice on the palate while remaining impossibly light, and an overall lovely accompaniment for an array of Filipino dishes. It’s nowhere near as “natty” as people say. And most of the wine you drink is fermented with indigenous yeasts anyway so relax!

No notes taken. Quite tight on the nose first. really needed air and time in the glass or carafe. Opens up very nicely. The perfume of the Grenache and the structure of the Syrah is toned down to a quite light and rather elegant wine that still has some oomph.

Shocking, crimson red color-almost neon candy apple. Initially pours with effervescence. Blows off quickly.
Nose of underripe red fruits; cranberry, strawberry, and rhubarb. Strong herbal and spicy notes dominate in the mouth, joining the red fruits. Light mouthfeel, but medium length. Great acidity. This is not your typical red wine. More like a bright, vibrant rose’.
I imagine this is a wine people will love or hate due to the surprising herbal palate. Count me in the love camp.
