  • Orange wine made of 40% Roussanne, 30% Marsanne & 30% Viogner. Co-fermented on the skins and aged Sur Lie for 6 month in barrel, 12.8% alcohol.

Bottled un-filtered. We stood it up for a few hours then decanted. I often feel that orange wines do well with a quick decant, but that may just be me.

On the nose it shows Cantaloupe and a lot of Pineapple, not sweet, but a fresh pineapple note is very evident. Also shows lemon, honeysuckle and a slight amaretto and almond note.

On the palate it is dry with medium acidity and medium body. The front palate on this is just beautiful, fruit and flowers with just a hint of a slight herbal quality and some citrus pith. Has great length and the bitterness comes through at the end, the citrus pith note lingers. Great example of a textbook orange wine and very enjoyable.

This wine just made me smile and sit back and enjoy it... Great value, great wine...
