Initially an odd wine that was difficult to describe. All over the map... but thin. It did improve over the course of 2-3 hours in the decanter. True to the concept, the wine tastes like a Cotes du Rhone, but from a cool vintage: high acidity, sort of sour cherry fruit, not very big. Short finish. At $37 I felt sort of cheated and wished for a Guigal. Could be a slight upside on this wine though. Hold for a couple of years.

Just drank this 2/20/2013. The drinking window was 2008-2010. It was still great! D&G are some great wines. Complex and gets better with age.

Cote du Rhone like from a good vintage - clearly balanced not over the top.
