decent white but a slightly bitter finish. I think this varietal just isn't in my wheelhouse

Académie des Cinquante Italy Tasting (Restaurant de Watergeus, Noorden, NL): Tasted blind. Magnum. A blend of 95% Friulano and 5% Riesling. Rich and full-bodied, relatively soft mouthfeel but firm acidity, almond, custard, ripe fruit, lovely minerality, elegant, long finish with noticeable bitters.
Fantastic wine, needs air. Huge body with lots of things going on.
Nice stone fruits and a touch of petrol on the finish. Would swear it was a reisling if tasting blind.
Fruity and yet nice acidity to give it a nice long finish. Stony citrus notes. Perfect pairing with crudo or oysters.
