Drank over 3 nights and held up well to the end. This classic style cabernet was a well balanced, low-oaked, expression of the varietal that showed dusty blackberries, deep violets, stone and pencil, etc. A huge fan of the now defunct Renaissance winery from Oregon House, CA, this wine called to mind many of those fine examples. I would struggle to distinguish the two blind, though perhaps this Felsina Maestro, whilst still quite tannic now at 7-years, may likely mellow far more by the time it reaches 20+ years of age as are most of those Renaissance cabs that I've pedestaled through the years. Regardless of it's tannin yardstick, I'm now a fan of Felsina in another varietal dimension, and I love to see such a huge producer able to hold true and put out such top notch quality paired to all that quantity.

Blackberries and violet on the nose with some spice and tobacco joining it on the tongue. Delicious expression but still fairly tannic at this stage. Wish I had another bottle to check out in 3-4 years.

So leafy you'd think it was Franc the first night 2nd the flavors are nice, but the texture's amorphous 3rd night's the charm; very Cab, very Italian Last night best: beautiful cassis aroma That said, this seems a bit diffident in comparison to a recent 2012 Vilafonté Series M Had I more, I'd hold for another couple of years Pretty legs

Decanted and drank over 2hours. Red fruits, spice and tobacco like Galloni said, but more like a 92
