Coravin a glass. Fine drinking, tannins are integrated but still present and go well with the nice acidity of the wine. Some leather, dark cherry, some cola, herbal notes on the finish. Very nice, will hold for a number of years.

This wine is drinking well-beautiful garnet color, berry fruit nose; cherry/plum on the palate and lengthy, mildly tart cherry on the finish. I chose it to pair with a cod and pasta marinara and it worked well (ample acid) but might have been a bit too substantial for this entree.

So, I last opened a bottle 19 months ago and found it sharp. Now, it is perfect. Deep purple, violet edge, bright cherries on top of a little bit of deep plum. Middle weight with dried fruit (prunes, in a good way.) Long lingering tart finish with a touch of dry dusty earth. So very good.

I just have wine that I love, left in my cellar, and I pulled a bottle at random, since I knew that there wasn't anything that I didn't want to keep, and have more of. This was an excellent choice, although I may break down and order more directly from the winery. Just full, and rich, and excellent with lamb roast.
