  • Russk. Simo brought to CDC at the Indian restaurant. The wine note below from Hansen does a good job of describing it. For us it was the most interesting wine of the night if not also the wine of the night. Keep an eye out for this producer. 91+.

  • Fanfan is the nickname of Jean-François Ganevat, the winemaker behind this Jura-based, famous domaine. Coincidently, he made this natural wine for his amusement (as per the name of it), and it is very FUN. Made from 100% Red Muscat, a rare variety that grows in Revermont, Jura that was elevated for one year in amphora. The result is stunning - light, cherry red colour seduces you from the very beginning, the aromas are distinctly Muscat, perfumed and elegantly floral. The palate is dry and juicy, small red fruits and herbal notes on a layer of slender acidity. The finish is somewhat powerful and persistent; its generous purity calls for the next sip. Serve chilled, we recommend opening 10-20 minutes before drinking.

  • Ganevat négociant from Revermont, Jura. The varietal is Red Muscat and it tastes pretty much as you’d guess by the name. Elderflowers, redcurrants with leaves, hints of paint bucket and leesy funk. For me personally, this is too floral and perfumed to qualify as quaffable, more of a fun wine (the name even indicates so). Drink chilled.
