Light ruby in the glass. Red berry fruits of the forest, herbal notes, hint of green. Mid weight with juicy acidity that keeps you coming back to the glass. Incredibly moreish, surprise package, loved it.

Colour is a little lighter than most reds. Strong nose of maraschino and dried cranberry, with a touch of campfire smoke. Light-bodied palate, with firm tannins and sour acidity. Intense, dry flavours of blackberry, blueberry, coriander leaf, and charcoal. A little sour and bitter on its own, but I think it would be excellent with food.

Blend: 95% Cabernet franc, 5% Merlot Fermentation: 100% destemmed; no crushing to preserve whole berries. 12 days on skins. Maturation: 16 months in oak, 12 months in large-format foudre and four months in barrique (10% new). 200 dozen made Certainly this sparked my interest Colour med density, bright crimson, purple hues clear edges 15/15 Nose med intensity bright ripe red and blue fruits , good balance 27/30 Palate med+ bodied , bright fruits good acidity and mouthfeel , long clean finish 41/44 Overall , not many Cab Francs around and I liked this one , designed for early drinking but the acidity will hold this together for up to 5 years 9/11
