Coravinned. Color was deep ruby with not much browning on the rim.The nose was sharp black fruit with some leathery herbal tones. Still very good acidity and tannins, which is quite amazing given the age. Waited 30mins to see how this integrates. The finish is long and the acidity mellows down a bit to make a really enjoyable juicy wine even after 20 odd years.

Initial impression upon opening and quick decant: Cherries and earth on the nose. More cherries follow, with nicely integrated tannins and good acidity. A long time since anyone reported on this wine (2011), but it’s doing fine and still ready to enjoy.

Purchased on release, stored @55degrees. Deep crimson/purple w/some edge bricking. Initial aromatics of oak and dark fruits leading into a rich mid palate of ripe sweet big black bing cherries, blackberries, vanillin oak and abundant tannins that echo in a moderately long finish. Initial notes of over ripeness dissipates somewhat over time but this is nonetheless still a very big wine from mountain fruit.

PnP...followed over 1.5 hours. Still a good deal of fruit left but ZERO tannins....the wine just falls off once it hits your tongue. 4-5 years past its prime but definitely not something you need to pour down the drain. Would rather have paid $25 for this, but you live and learn.
Purchased from WineBid for $40.25 in March 2014

Well-stored bottle survived beautifully. Plenty of fruit still there. Nicest cab I've had in a while (not that I drink a lot of them.)
