Decanted 45 min. Similar to my TN 6/13/2021. Lots of black cherry and mocha (reflecting the 60+% Merlot). Some smoked meat and lots of vanillin notes. Finish plummy and somewhat ripe, but not as astringent as last bottle. Very pleasant, but still has structure for further development.

Decanted 30 minutes (maybe should have been longer?). Lots of creamy vanillin oak, with a dose of espresso on the nose. Palate stays creamy with coffee and cocoa. Good fruit, but the finish leaves something to be desired as there is some astringency. Perhaps it needs more time?

Tons of brooding, toasty oak aromas of chocolate, spice box and vanilla start this off. Surprisingly pleasant in the mouth, with the oak well integrated and nice red cherry and marionberry fruit followed up with subtle bay leaf and licorice. A good layer of sweet wood comes in, but this is delicious and not taxing on the palate to me. For fans of the style though. A blend of Merlot, Syrah and Malbec. 5,995 cases made.

Yeah, no. Sugar and vanilla. Headache in a bottle most likely. Even for the price, many better options. Not sure what WS was thinking...
