  • Reminds me of a slightly more red fruited Jamet. Elegance and finesse are very much what this Wine is all about. Structured for sure, but actually drinkable on it's own. Mineraldriven, cool, perfumed, floral, freshly ground Madagascar pepper, some sweet bell pepper fruit aswell, alongside dark cherries and blackberries.

Popped and poured, then decanted and followed 4-5 hours. Last sip was of course the best, as it slowly started to show what is to come. Drinkable now, with great pleasure even, but likely best from 2030+

1.700-2.000 made each year, comes from the best vine material the domaine has to offer, their own sort of 'Selection Massale'. South facing vineyard, 8-10.000 vines for each ha, all single pole. Granit and Gneiss Stone makes this vineyard stand out compared to slate many other Places.

  • Découvertes en Vallée du Rhône; 4/15/2019-4/16/2019 (Ampuis, Mauves and Tain-l'Hermitage): Walk around tasting talking with the producers, brief note. A big step up vs the previous two tasted. Dense and meaty black and red cherry with complex textures and fine spice. Very good 91-92+ point potential, 2025-.
