Out of the bottle it smelled like a leather jacket.
Took 2-3 hrs in the decanter, but eventually black fruit really came thru, with some spices, minerality, and a well integrated leather / oakiness on the finish.
Very light drinking.

A wine for when you want to drink an oaky Cali cab but from France. For the common online price of $40, it’s a good value compared to many things from Napa. Round mouthfeel, no tannin grip. Cassis, boysenberry, and lots of oak: vanilla, coconut. Not my style but executed well if that is what you enjoy.

Second review 60 minute decant Josephine No 2 glass
First pour before meal: Delicious. Good, smooth finish with solid nose. Just really good.
With dinner and after additional decanting while cooking: Smooth. Non-confrontational. Loses some of the nuances with the food, but holds up well and very drinkable. Needed a bit more character throughout to break 90, but really enjoyed this bottle.
