Color is pale-purple with very obvious and lingering legs. The scent of tart berries such as cranberries stands out as well as a secondary scent of cut lumber or sawdust. The taste is dry with high tannins. The front is acidic and it transitions to the tannins. The wine is high in tannins and acidity lingers awhile. The balance in taste was enjoyable. Fun novelty of the "living bottles" if one uses the downloadable app. This is a mediocre wine. Not bad, but not great. Still enjoyable and the stories and novelty adds to the pleasure.

A fairly poor example of the bold 19 Crimes initiative. If the intent was to provide easily-accessible drinkable red, for a bargain price, this particular offering falls short. The tannins are non-existent, and the sweetness of the fruit is not compensated by any opposing acid in the mix. A much better example of the "vintage" is the Can Sav, which is surprisingly competitive with any red wines in the under $20 market.
