My last bottle. PNP at at local restaurant. Robbie Meyer does a great job with the fruit from Kenefick Ranch, albeit a different style than others. This is a medium bodied, expressive cab with a nice balance between the fruit and savory elements. The wine is showing more secondary flavors/aromas intermingled with the black and blue fruits. Plums, cassis, tobacco, bay leaf, finishing with wild fennel and chocolate notes. It’s a little past it’s peak for my taste buds but worked well with our meals.

Dark ruby fruit - blackberry, currants, and dark cherry. Smooth mid-palate but a little lighter profile than expected - medium body. Nice flavors of dark berries, some spice/licorice, a little cocoa, and cassis. Fairly long finish. Popped/poured but drank out of a decanter for a couple hours. Not much improvement with time but at a nice drinking point. Drank next to a 2019 Quivet Kenefick Ranch cab on its second day to see how they compare (since both are sourced from the Kenefick Ranch Vineyard) and I thought the Quivet was a couple points better - bigger/fuller fruit and more expressive/flavorful. Nonetheless, the Pierson Meyer cab is still a nice wine - no surprise of the 94 rating from Galloni. 100% cab.
This Cabernet from kenefick ranch never disappoints. It has a terrific balance between the fruit and savory notes of leather, smoke, earth and cedar with a hint of licorice. Medium body and mouthfeel, fine tannins. Nice finish. Good value for the money
Fantastic Cabernet. Big, rich Napa cab with a bright, expressive nose of currant and dark cherry with black earth. Incredibly smooth, dark and rich. Full bodied, nice balance, smooth, silky tannins.
Compared head to head with 2016 Paradigm, Shafer 1.5, Ramey, and Scarlett from McGah....the Peirson Meyer was the favorite. Truly impressive!

Very consistent with prior note. This wine is a knockout. Creme de cassis, dark chocolate. Chalky tannins. Awesome value for a fantastic wine!
