  • A glistening ruby hue with a touch of purple. Still very young. Nose started very fruit forward with predominantly red berries. As it opened, some smokey floral notes (Rose) and a touch of spice entered. Very elegant. The palate is red fruit driven, ripe but with good acidity and freshness. Slightly sour raspberry and cherry. Tannins are firm but ripe and integrated. A silky texture but not perfectly smooth. Nice body that coats the mid palate and evolves into a smooth finish with nice depth and length. Slightly chalky, perhaps showing its youth. This is delicious, but a baby. I’ll wait at least 2 years to open the next bottle.
