  I keep forgetting they have been cellaring this wine longer than most other bottles before releasing so I opened my second bottle sooner than I maybe wanted to. That's alright thought because it seems to have settled down into a happier place than a year ago. A nice brambliness with hints of smoke it about now. The fruit has a nice tinge of sweet flavors that are well balanced by the tannins and acid. Just a nice, well balanced, dinner friendly Zin now. Should be good for many years to come.

  Just 75% Zinfandel, the bottom legal limit to be called Zinfandel. The remainder is 25% Carignane. Typical Ridge from this vineyard: soft, 14.5% alcohol, ready to drink.
