Reading the reviews, maybe we should have decanted. Or, maybe should have drunk while it was younger. Was not bad. Just simply was not exceptional. And price does enter into the rating. In our opinion, absolutely not worth the price

This was one of my wines for my annual WWC hosting, and it was the third time I’ve had it over the last year and a half. I think my experience here was a small dip below the previous two. Didn’t blossom as much.
Melka made, from Ritchie vineyard. I really enjoy the fruit coming from that vineyard and seem to normally get a classical nuttiness from the profile. Bright and gold in the glass showing aromatics consistent with powerful, ripe Chardonnay…powdered lemon bar, honeyed tropical fruits, and nutmeg. Vibrant acidity at this age alongside lemon cream and honeysuckle. The mid palate did a bit of a disappearing act at times, but the finish was nicely integrated.

Quite big and rich, nice salinity and freshness. Real depth of salted lemon flavour. Long straight forward. Drink now and over the next 5 years.

Splash double decanted for about 5 min. The wine is showing more minerality at this point, it’s a bit tart, well balanced, and good finish.
