Purchased 4 cases for our daughter's wedding. Mawby produced custom labels for the bottles with the couples' photo, which was a big hit. This sparkling wine is far superior to the "cheap champagne" you usually get for a wedding toast.

I love Mawby, but this is the least interesting of their traditional method sparklers. Decent acidity, but not good QPR. Spend a few extra dollars to grab a bottle of their Grace or Gold (both very good) or jump up in price point and nab a bottle of Talismon (truly spectacular).

A superb sparkler, if you could call it that. Pale straw color. Very fine bubbles. Lovely nose of brioche and ripe pear. Palette is a bit round and one dimensional to compare to a champagne, but very nice none the less with notes of tart apples and even a finish of a tart cherry? (Having to do with the abundance of tart cherries grown in the Leelanau Peninsula where this wine is produced?). Perhaps one of the better “sparklers” from the USA. Well done.

Note bad for a Michie wine. Bit too fruity and one dimensional to make a run at greatness. Would love more yeast or brioche notes as well, but a respectable wine nonetheless.

Apple and melon aromas. Crisp and refreshing. A decent, but not outstanding, sparkling wine.
