This is a very good wine. The fruit concentration (Medium +) is balanced by the wine's acidity (Medium +). The wine offers complexity through a combination of bright primary flavors from citrus (lemon) and green fruit (gooseberry and yellow apple) along with herbaceous (grass), herbal (oregano and thyme) and wet stone, beeswax and lanolin. These flavors are easy to identify which is also an indication of a very good quality wine. The lemon and apple flavors are present at the first sip but it is the lanolin and beeswax flavors that linger on the finish (Medium +) which is what keeps this wine from being outstanding.

Very tight upon opening. Rather austere with a bit of pyrazines, perhaps from the mechanical harvesting. 70% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon. Needs time.

Not bad but not a lot to get excited about here. Pretty straightforward merlot driven wine, not sure this has much to reveal via additional time in the cellar.

A very floral Merlot dominant blend. Soft fruit with a dry mouthfeel and moderate length. Racked 2 years before drinking and on the fence about further improvement. Very good to excellent 3.8 stars.

Yummy. Red plums and currents. Round and luscious. Fresh and nicely structured.
