Riesling with malolactic fermentation is always a little bit strange to me but in de Moor's hands this one-off Alsatian white is gorgeous. I've had a handful of bottles over the years and while it continues to develop, the wine always delivers a beautiful core of apply-acids (in spite of the malo), raw nuts, seaweed and lime. Impossible to dislike, hard not to love.

Quite a lot of development over the last two years. The colour has turned deeper golden. The understated aromas have become expressive, with notes of honey, mimosa and yellow stonefruit. The palate rounded and creamy, with serious extract, balanced acidity and a refreshingly saline finish. Rather than very Riesling, it is very de Moor and certainly very moreish! Best now and over the next two? (Disclaimer: ITB with Swedish importer Vin & Natur)

No the most successful wine in the De Moor Canon for me. No real riesling characteristic. General and monolithic apple and spice tones. Flavors became somewhat diluted after a couple hours open. Oh well.

Stones and herbs; apple freshness. Acidity quite reticent, the herbal and mineral flavors are much more pronounced. Great.
