  Lively nose of mocha, blueberries and figs. Sophisticated mouth of salted plums, castelvetrano olives and chocolate orange. Good acid in a medium length finish of orange peel and old car leather. Good balance of ripeness and acid.

  Might be one of my favorite reds in the Finger Lakes. Wonderful Bordeaux-style blend of Cab Sauv, Cab Franc, and Merlot. Tons of black cherry and roasted plums on both the nose and palate, some leather and dusty notes as well. With a slight chill, the tannins soften beautifully, but even at room temp the wine is very well balanced. Medium acidity, maybe medium-plus tannins. Very fruit-forward for a Finger Lakes red, just delicious!

  Ravines white and rosé tends to be very good, but so far their red offerings have not impressed me. This bottle bucked the trend! A very nice Bordeaux-style blend. Deep red fruit and dark berry aromas, mixed with a hint of leather and clay. Medium bodied, nice fruit flavors mixed with earthy notes. Medium acid. Heavy tannins that are a bit harsh, but not offensively so. I’m not sure this wine has enough acid for long-term aging, but I expect it to evolve and remain drinkable for at least 3-5 years. Very nice, and excellent value. Will purchase again.
