What a gorgeous and fantastic wine. Although has a little bit (or allot a bit) of that smoke character that I am now getting from Gruner. Makes me wonder if I got COVID and it alters how I taste Gruner.

Ahh honivogl. You monstrous pleasure boat you. And nicely enough for me, Sabina found you too big so I drank you all myself! Tight until the last glass, so hold for at least one more year before the re-effort.

Medium gold Medium (+) nose of peach.,lemon, yellow flowers, honeydew melon flesh, melon rind, cheese (others added ginger) Dry, medium (+) acidity, medium alcohol, medium (+) intensity notes of peach.,lemon, yellow flowers, honeydew melon flesh, melon rind, cheese (others added ginger), medium (+) body, medium (+) finish The wine shows a fair balance between fruit concentration and acidity, While The length and intensity contribute significantly to the quality of the wine, it does lack complexity (other found lots of primary and tertiary including banana and mushrooms. The wine is of very good quality and is suitable for ageing
Guess: I thought Viognier was the grape because of the peach dominance. There was also a herbaceous element which brought me to Condrieu.
Mistakes: I think I may have underestimated the acidity here. The ginger call may have moved me to a grape that was given to some botrytis.

Tasted blind. Clear m gold. M+ bruised apple, ripe lemon, lime, ginger, wet rocks. No oak apparent, but w/ several botrytis notes. Dry, w/ m+ acidity, m+ alcohol (13.5%). M+ body, with m+ to flavor intensity and length, with a rounded mouthfeel and a slight phenolic bitterness on the finish. Developing. Already showing great complexity, it is drinking well now but likely to improve with further aging.
Moderate climate, old world characteristics. Possibilities include Alsatian Pinot Gris (but it lacks RS and any copper hue), Loire Chenin Blanc (but its acidity is relatively too low), Marsanne/Roussanne blend (but these are not known to have botrytis) and Smaragd Gruner Veltliner. This time I got it right.
