Man this is exactly what burgundy used to be but isn’t anymore. No “natural” spoofiness, no “solar” vintage, no “needed the stems so it didn’t taste like jam” BS. Just a classic, well made, mixed red/dark fruit, 12.5% abv, slightly gamey, medium bodied burgundy with a hint of forest floor from the age. THIS is what burgundy should be, not the shit they hawk for $100 today that tastes like the Cali Pinot from 2012. This isn’t life changingly complex but man it’s good to taste an honest burg. #realwine.
