This is a fantastic Nerello mascalese, Passopisciaro 2012 is one on the best Etna ive had (in this pricerange).
Poured in burgundy glass for 30min before drinking, was perfect. The difference in color from last drink 5 years ago was big, just like a typical burgundy going from light red to this brownish red.
Still red fruits, and some darker fruits coming out now, mineral, dried herbs.
Went excellent with pasta parmigiano for b-day, wish i had more bottles but this was my last, could easily drink for 2-3 more years in this state.

A lot of sediments that were lumped together and flowing around. Quite Burgundian aromas, with cherries, strawberries and earth. Light weighted but concentrated, with intense and a bit sweet fruit. Has developed a lot since last tasted 6 years ago and probably will not get any better.

Cork. 15.5% alc.
Medium bodied at most. Mineral, red fruited, earth. Fine, slightly dusty tannin. Transparent. No hint of the alcohol.
