Dull yellow. Distilled spirit nose. Full but not nearly as glycerine and textural as Loire Chenin can be. Lemon and orange peel, powerful acidity and stone. Young, intense, and quite remarkably structured for the vintage.

Aroma: medicinal and floral. Palate: crisp and lithe with grapefruit and gooseberry flavors, more like a Sauvignon Blanc than a Chenin Blanc. Prominent mineral notes.

Very youthful and very powerful, to the point that this is probably just a snapshot of its pretty immense potential. This has all the classic Chenin notes; apples, lemons, lanolin, floral notes, wet stone minerality, etc., with the volume turned up. Ripping high acidity, sharply delineated flavors, long finish, just everything you could ask for. The closest thing to a flaw is that this just needs some time to fan out a bit. If this mellows, it could be truly epic in 5-10 years. This was my first time with these wines, but I will be hunting them down. 93++

Haven't moved an inch. Equally good as last bottle 3 years ago.

Melon, lemon, almost some buttered toast on the nose. High acidity, lacy mouthfeel. Super dry, crisp and narrow.
Just too acidic for my palate but great overall.
