Château Sainte-Marguerite, Cuvée Symphonie, Cru Classé, 2018: First kosher run for this high end Provence Rosé which retails around $50. Very bright, pale peach pink color. The nose slowly unfolds delicate aromas of spring flowers, iodine, freshly picked red currants and stone fruits. Light in body, very refined and delicate on the palate with flavors of sour cherries, tart strawberries, slightly underripe white peaches and orange zest, as well as chalky mineral notes, vibrant acidity with hints of red currants and saline notes on the moderately long finish. While this premium rosé showcases somewhat of a rather uncommon complexity and enough acidity to sustain it longer than average, it lacks a bit of fruit and body to rock my boat. 12.5% Abv. Drink now. 89
