  • Boozy Brunch (Foreign Cinema & Noe Valley Wine & Spirits): Upon opening, this is impressively stuffed, concentrated, and intense with tons of minerality (notes of wet rocks), the oak already well-integrated, adding just a touch of gloss texturally. But, the wine starts shutting down soon after opening, giving nothing on the nose but bruised apple with the palate being very shy and closed up. This probably needs a couple more years in bottle to unclench and open up. It's impressive though, but drinking this now felt like infanticide.

Day 2: The nose opens up quite a bit. I'm getting grapefruit zest, mint, fresh herbs on the nose. The palate is still primarily wet rocks with a noticeable veneer of vanillin, but the oak is still well-integrated and I get much more citrus and herbs on the palate. Like the complexity of an aged Riesling without the raciness of the acidity; instead you get a polished, rounder, very elegant texture (though the acidity is still mouth-watering and ample).

  • The nose is of medium intensity, some lemon, some wet rocks, a little saline feel also on the palate, nice acidity well balanced with the richness, gorgeous balance and long finish, lovely bottle. 93

Nez moyennement aromatique, une touche saline avec un peu d’agrumes aussi. Une bouche typée Perrières, minérale, saline un tout petit peu, belle acidité et texture fort agréable, belle longueur, superbe bouteille.

  • Heater week; 3/26/2023-4/3/2023 (Chicago, IL): Pretty sure this is the first time I've tasted Germain's Perrières, despite having been a fan of the wines for the last few years now. This is a step about the Charmes (which is much more readily available in my market). Unmistakably Perrières with its intense, stony minerality. The oak comes off a little strong here, but in the context of the wine and its weight, it works (and well!). A long future ahead for this.

  • Light in color. Delicate nose of stone fruit. Lighter body, complex, not oaky and just a bit buttery in character. Mineral notes. Very nice wine. Had at Le Soufflot in Meursault.

  • Floral et fruits blancs au nez, une bouche équilibrée toute en finesse, classe et élégance, sans être riche, possède une très belle texture, super bon en ce moment.92-93

Some floral and white fruit hints in the nose, very balanced wine with classe and elegance, finesse rather then weight but still has enough richness, very good right now.
