Notes of poached pears, spiced apples, creme fraiche and yellow plum/greengage. A touch of basil also. A strident acidity greets the palate but is coated by plenty of fleshy apple flesh and dried Cretian pears. Star anise spice, vanilla and some sultana suggest some oak nuances whilst there is a savoury twist with leesy notes. A juicy wine, there is purity and linearity in shape and the medium length has a piquancy with flavours of sour limes, lime curd and custard on the finish. A good example of modern Aligote, easy drinking, enjoyable fare

Tasted blind. Pale straw in color, with medium (-) lemon drop and white flower aromas. Dry, with med (+) acidity and med alcohol (12.5%). The palate also shows some green apple and unripe white peach and a touch of earthy minerality on the simple finish. Med (-) body, flavor intensity and length. Yawn. My first Aligote.

This was NICE, fresh and light - notes of sweet green apple, pear, citrus and a nice little funky note of bubblegum(?) An eye opener to Aligote - and another great bottle from Sylvain Pataille.

Nose is dominated by a lemon hard candy note with some subtle tropical fruit.
Medium acid with a strong finish dominated by lemon.
The perfect lunch wine. Only 12.5% abv with freshness on the nose and palate. Pataille takes his aligote seriously and it shows.

Straw coloured; with air shows typicité in the fuller style; good weight, marked acidity dominates, spiced. Fair length.
