striking deep strawberry color, orange highlights, some gas evident; strawberry Jolly Rancher candy, whiff of Brett; light bodied, dry, crunchy acidity, 12.5% ABV; made from 100% Pinot Gris from San Benito County; $26

Eye-catching strawberry color. First day, nothing really emerged other than some spice notes, even as it warmed in the glass. Second day, after pouring through an aerator, some fruit came through. Easy drinker.
It's not a bad wine, but given how much I enjoyed the Sandhi chard I drank last year, it comes off as a little disappointing.

This is juicy, fresh, and delicious, although lacks some oomph I expected, especially in terms of acidity.
